PhD Studentship
Design and measurement methodologies of millimetre-wave smart antennas
University of Surrey
Applications are invited for a funded three-year PhD
studentship starting on 1 January 2013 to investigate the novel design
and measurement methodologies of millimetre-wave smart antennas.
Millimetre-wave smart antennas using, for example printed reflectarray,
are the key technology for satellite communications, wireless local area
networks and radars. At millimetre-wave bands they offer multi-gigabit
speeds to complement existing Wi-Fi capabilities and enable new
cutting-edge wireless applications. Main objectives of this project
include novel designs, implementations and measurement techniques of
millimetre-wave smart antennas.
