Position Description: Established in 1981, the SCHOOL OF ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC ENGINEERING (EEE) is one of the founding Schools of the Nanyang Technological University. Built on a culture of excellence, the School is renowned for its high academic standards and strong tradition in research. To support teaching and cutting-edge research, EEE is host to 9 mega research centres and more than 50 laboratories, which are well-equipped with modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment. The School comprises six Divisions, namely Division of Power Engineering, Division of Circuits & Systems, Division of Information Engineering, Division of Control & Instrumentation, Division of Communication Engineering and Division of Microelectronics. With about 200 faculty members and an enrolment of more than 4,000, of which about 1,300 are graduate students, it is one of the largest EEE schools in the world. The candidate should have the experience in the following fields: Turbo Trellis Coded Modulation/Bit Interleaved LDPC Coded Modulation, channel coding for high-order modulation. The period of this position is 12 months. Job Description: It is essential that the candidate should have good knowledge of Turbo Trellis Coded Modulation or Bit Interleaved LDPC Coded Modulation, and good skills of both theoretical and practical investigations. The candidate will be working in the area of channel coding for high-order modulation in transform domain communication systems.
